Our latest wine dinner brought a little island sunshine to a rainy Lompoc evening. “A Taste of the Islands” was our November pairing event featuring Foley Family Wines, with selections from both Lincourt Vineyards and Firestone Vineyards. Guests arrived in bright floral prints and luau-inspired outfits, turning the dining room into a colorful escape from the cold weather outside.
The evening opened at 6:30pm with a warm welcome from our team, followed by a three course Hawaiian fusion menu paired with carefully chosen wines. The Maui Onion Soup En Croute set the tone for the night. The Polynesian short ribs and macadamia crusted mahi mahi carried the island theme forward with rich flavors that matched beautifully with the wines poured. Dessert brought everything together with a mango chard cake that had the whole room smiling.
Throughout the evening, our chefs and staff received spontaneous rounds of applause from our guests. Chef Moises led the kitchen in preparing each course. Pastry chef Kathie crafted the dessert that ended the night on a sweet note. Dave checked in with guests and shared in the celebration. The winery representative even brought her parents to join the experience, which added another personal touch to the event.
Guests seemed to relax right into the theme. Many commented on how well the food and wine complemented each other. Some were returning guests from our first wine dinner, while others were joining us for the very first time. By the end of the night, everyone appeared to leave with full hearts, warm spirits, and a sense of connection that filled the room from start to finish.
We are grateful to Foley Family Wines for partnering with us and to everyone who braved the weather to make the evening special. Our next wine dinner is already in the works, and we look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new friends once again.
